LITHUANIA – Convene 2015 open for Hosted Buyer Business
Registrations for those wishing to attend the third edition of Convene, taking place at the Litexpo congress centre in Vilnius on 11th and 12th February 2015, have now been opened. Organised by the Vilnius Convention Bureau, the event features the countries of the Baltic Sea Region.

The event is organised by the Vilnius Convention Bureau and it features the countries of the Baltic Sea Region. Convene 2015 will host some 160 hosted buyers from throughout Europe who will meet some 80 exhibitors from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Russia and Belorussia. Building on the success of the two first editions which have seen over 270 hosted buyers, Convene 2015 will fascinate with the hospitality of the Vilnius meetings industry community and all that this UNESCO World heritage Destination has to offer.
The event director Jolanta Beniuliene said:”Convene is set to present the regions suppliers to the international hosted buyer community and show case the wide variety of excellent quality venues, hotels, DMC and specialist meetings services which the region has to offer. In 2015 we focus on quality and growth of the education programme which will be anticipated by participants”.
Hosted buyers who are accepted onto the programme following a full qualifying process benefit from return travel, transfers, hotel accommodation, networking events, full daytime and evening refreshments and the opportunity of a place on one of a number of fam trips out into the region’s destinations.
Paul Kennedy MBE who helped create Convene and continues to advise the Bureau, said:”This region has much to offer to the planners of meetings, incentives and conferences from across the corporate, association and agency sectors. The offer is diverse high quality and price competitive”.
The event which is acknowledged as having genuine style and a deserved reputation for excellent organisation has been oversubscribed each year and will be offering some 160 hosted buyer places with the buyers undertaking some 3000+ pre scheduled appointments over the two days of the event.
