ITALY – FILMMASTER LAUNCHES “VOLARE MILANO CORTINA 2026”, INVITING A GLOBAL AUDIENCE TO TAKE PART IN A COLLECTIVE CHAIN SONG SET TO “NEL BLU DIPINTO DI BLU”
Starting Monday, January 19, the public will be able to submit their video contributions via the official website to be included in a collective artwork that will be unveiled on March 6, 2026, during the Opening Ceremony of the Games at the Verona Arena.
FILMMASTER, the creative agency responsible for the Opening Ceremony of the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Games, launches the initiative “Volare Milano Cortina 2026”, inviting people from all over the world to contribute to a chain song based on Domenico Modugno’s iconic track. A collective song that will bring together voices, bodies and stories from across the globe into a single artistic and symbolic gesture.
The invitation is open to anyone who wishes to feel part of the Games, not only as a spectator, but as a protagonist of a shared artistic experience.
From Monday, January 19, video contributions can be submitted through the dedicated website, guided by a tutorial by Vittorio Cosma:

All videos will be reviewed and may be included in a single collective artwork to be revealed during the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Games.
Filmmaster has chosen the famous “Nel blu dipinto di blu” by Domenico Modugno, one of the most well-known Italian songs worldwide and a universal symbol of freedom, positivity and imagination, to create a collaborative musical finale for the Paralympic Opening Ceremony.
The Opening Ceremony, produced by Filmmaster and scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Verona Arena, will be built around the concept “Life in Motion”: a tribute to life understood as change and transformation, inspired by the language of art and its unique ability to interpret an ever-evolving contemporary reality. This approach redefines the concept of disability through the achievement of a new harmony between people and their environment. The ceremony will feature numerous Italian and international talents.
Among the first names announced by the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation on the music front are Stewart Copeland, drummer of The Police and a composer capable of inspiring generations, and Meduza, the producer trio that has become a global symbol of Italian house music and ranks among the most-streamed artists worldwide. Contemporary art will also play a central role, with tributes to Jago, one of the most internationally acclaimed Italian sculptors, and Emilio Isgrò, artist, poet, novelist and playwright who revolutionized global art in the second half of the twentieth century with his “erasures”.
The Ceremony will mark a historic milestone: for the first time, a Paralympic Opening Ceremony will take place in a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
