IRELAND – Verve wins Event of the Year at the International Eventex Awards
The Eventex Awards are an international platform for showcasing contribution to the event
industry, excellence in working practices and innovative thinking. 
Verve managed to scoop the
grand prix award ‘Event of the Year’ along with ‘Best Green Event’ for Electric Irelands Dancergy.
The winning event took place at Electric Picnic in Stradbally from the 29th
September 2013.
This all-engaging consumer participation platform demonstrated excellence in
creativity and execution. The concept centred on the fact that festival goers are at Electric Picnic
to hear music, to dance and have fun. 76 Dance floor modules and one giant energy meter were
used to record the power created by the festival goers. The event itself was 100% sustainable.
A schedule of events was executed for the three days of the festival that would ensure that
Dancergy sessions with Mr. Motivator were sought after. Visitors to the sessions could track the
energy generated on the dance floor with large screens that monitored the energy generated.
This ensured that participants were literally able to see the energy they were creating by dancing,
fulfilling the education aspect of the brief.
