IRELAND – Verve wins big on the Global stage

On Wednesday 17th October, Irish agency Verve, which took part at this year’s EuBEA with an event
that will be published in the European Events Annual, picked up a coveted Globe at the
annual MAA (Marketing Agencies Worldwide) Awards in Chicago, for its work on the
Guinness Rugby Sponsorship campaign.

There are only 25 Globes, which are awarded annually to the best marketing campaigns
globally. With 130 judges from 15 countries, the judging process is stringent and the
reason that the Globes are seen as the Oscars of the worldwide marketing industry.
The Globe, which Verve won, was the only Gold awarded to a European agency in 2012,
which demonstrates the intense competition, the high standard of campaign entry and
judging.

Speaking about the win, Verve MD, Ronan Traynor (image), said: “ This is a humbling win, we are
delighted to work with the talented brand team in St. James Gate who direct and
orchestrate the campaign, working alongside Diageo, agency partners, Cybercom and
WHPR. This Globe is an endorsement of the vibrant marketing talent alive in Ireland,
client and agency side.”
