European Best Event Awards, the day of judgement

The ‘day of judgment’ is here. On Monday October 4th, at the Atahotel Fiera Milano, the representatives of the jury of the European Best Event Awards came together in a plenary session to confer the winners. After a first ‘screening’ online, today the jurors have just evaluated the 46 events in the short list. The jury is composed of business representatives, journalists and associative realities coming from all over Europe.

The jury is chaired by Carlo Hermes, Eni consultant. The 2010 edition has seen an increase in registered events: 91 against the 66 of last year (+38% with respect to 2009). This edition has also welcomed the participation of two new countries: Holland and Austria have become part of this award, affirming its success throughout the European market.

Called to give a judgment on the level of creativity in the race, the European judges have oscillated between an enthusiastic judgment and a less positive one.  Some, in particular among those who participated in the previous editions of Bea, have noted that the crisis has affected the ‘ability to dare’ and thus companies and agencies seem to have pursued a less excellent and rather standard level of creativity.

The awards ceremony, that besides the Golden Elephant, will also grant the awards by typology and technical excellence decided on by the jury, will be held on November 15 at the Spazio Eventiquattro in Viale Monte Rosa, 91 in Milan. This year Salvatore Sagone, creator of the award, has decided to launch a new celebration scheme. Thanks to the presentation of the projects by the winners themselves, the awards ceremony of the best European events becomes an important moment of training to establish the European benchmark and to understand the latest trends. An extraordinary afternoon not to miss that from 14:30 to 18:30 will host the most prestigious european agencies and firms.
