The RCRC’s objective was to create a large-scale light art installation that would animate the city of Riyadh for the Noor Riyadh Festival 2023 and spearhead the Festival all over the world.
The Royal Commission for Riyadh City’s objective was to create a large-scale light art installation, that would animate the entire city of Riyadh for the Noor Riyadh Light Art Festival 2023.
This Spectacular Artwork would spearhead the Festival all over the world in terms of experience.
The agency was expected to provide an all-encompassing ‘turnkey’ solution to fulfill this spectacular shows, corresponding to the fllowing criteria:
SHOW DURATION: between 5 and 7 minutes
FREQUENCY: The Spectacular show must run every hour and everyday based on operating hours of the festival
SOUND: the show will be based on a music which will be played live on the vantage point to display the need.
VISIBILITY: The artworks should be visible from more than 10 km around the city and act as a beacon for the festival, raising awareness and creating excitement about Noor Riyadh.
VANTAGE POINT: The artworks should be visible from a vantage point clearly identify with all necessary assets
This spectacular artwork has been developped with artist Christopher Bauder to create “DIALOGUE”:
a city-wide show that transforms two of the most iconic towers on the Riyadh skyline into living characters that interact with each other and communicate through light and sound.
. 1st time using technical systems to remotely control Kingdom Tower media facade and the existing light bridge.
This façade had always been operated manually. This is the first time that a remote control and automated system was implemented to operate these existing LED and lights equipment, enabling us to achieve a perfect color synchronization between the lights and the facade, with unprecedented creative results.
. Unprecedented technical installation of a temporary platform built over 220 m high at the bottom of Kingdom Tower necklace, to fix 200 moving lights and 2 ultra-bright lasers.
