BELGIUM – EVENT AGENCY OFCORES STRENGTHENS MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP IN GROWTH
The growth of recent years has prompted event agency OFCORES to bring on board a third managing partner, Jo Dalm. The expansion of the team and the move to a larger office are other signs that the agency is preparing for its next growth spurt.
With Jo Dalm, a third person has joined the management of event agency OFCORES, alongside founders Jean-Baptiste De Bock and Sofie Smits. Jo has been active in the events and trade fair sector for many years and has also been with OFCORES since 2021.
“We felt it was important to strengthen our structure at the management level,” says founder Jean-Baptiste De Bock. “This will ensure that in the future we can turn the peaks – typical in our sector – into waves. Jo also brings in additional expertise, as well as fresh ideas.”
The arrival of Jo Dalm is not the only step OFCORES has taken to prepare for future growth. The company has also moved into a larger location in Dilbeek: the Wivina Offices, in a former monastery. Finally, the team has expanded to 14 permanent employees and several freelancers, bringing the total to around 20.
60% of events abroad
“In recent months we have prepared ourselves for the future,” says Sofie Smits. “We feel that we can continue to grow. In 2024 we organized around 80 events, and after the first half of 2025 we are already at nearly 50.”
Remarkably, OFCORES organizes half of its events abroad (EU, US, Asia, and Africa), for both institutional and corporate clients. In recent years, it has also expanded its services to include booth construction and logistics at international trade fairs.
Jo Dalm: “That experience strengthens our belief that we can diversify even further. In the meantime, we master all aspects of both corporate and institutional projects: from congresses and conferences, to trade fairs and expos, to teambuilding and all kinds of corporate events.”
High demand for connections
Events are becoming increasingly important, according to the three managers. “Both in the business world and in institutional settings, it is crucial to make connections,” says Jean-Baptiste De Bock. “Nowadays we work more with online meetings, remote work, … which makes the need for physical contact even greater. In addition, events are also a driving force for knowledge sharing and team cohesion.”
“On top of that, audience expectations keep rising, which means that client expectations towards event agencies are also higher,” adds Sofie Smits. “The fact that all events are now shared on social media has a lot to do with this.”
Not the biggest
OFCORES wants to leverage all the expertise it has gained over the years to convince even more clients, and to encourage institutional and corporate clients to invest more in events. Jo Dalm concludes: “In addition to growth with institutional clients, we want to further develop into a 360° partner for our clients, offering them the full spectrum of events both domestically and internationally. Our goal is not to become the largest event agency, but the most valued partner that consistently makes a difference.”
