AUSTRIA – Into the new year with Viennese verve
Interest in the second ever Le Grand Bal at the Hofburg Vienna – held under the banner of L’Esprit Viennois this year – is running high: more than 60 Austrian and foreign reporters covering business, society, lifestyle and culture as well as representatives of the daily and trade press met in the beautiful Hofburg Vienna winter garden on 22nd October for a major media gathering.
Guests at the press conference included Vienna State Ballet soloists Ketevan Papava and Eno Peci, who provided a taste of things to come on New Year’s Eve with a special dance performance.
The following high-profile visitors were also in attendance: Thomas Schäfer-Elmayer (director of the Elmayer dance school), Gregor Hatala (head of the Vienna State Opera Ballet Association), Lukas Gaudernak (Vienna State Opera Ballet choreographer) and opera singers Anita Götz and Matjaž Stopinšek.
