ITALY – UEFA Final Champions League Opening Ceremony 2016 by Filmmaster Events
For the first time ever, the ceremony had a huge live show, thanks to the contribution of Alicia Keys, who sang three big successes of her career and will present her latest song with her band and a cast of 20 people and more.
The stage on which the star performed was assembled during the ceremony. It was a huge 3D Champions logo with a diameter of more than 13 meters. All the props and the stage design are handcrafted by Italian artisans.
Alicia Keys was joined by more than 400 voluntary performers from all over Italy, who performed amazing choreographies in homage to Milan. The choreographies have been created by the famous Wanda Rokicki. The whole field was covered by a 7,500 square meters pale blue carpet with the UEFA logo.
It was placed by more than 100 porters few seconds before the performers’ arrival, with extremely complex and coordinated movements. This made the ceremony even more spectacular and impactful, both for the audience in the stadium and for the live broadcast.
A fireworks show ended the performance. It is the first time that such a show is allowed during a Champions League final.
Two Uefa Ambassadors, Franco Baresi and Javier Zanetti, as delegates of two Milanese sports clubs, brought the Cup at the center of the field together with Andrea Bocelli.
