BELGIUM – World Premiere in the Brussels sky
Dinner in the Sky could not have wished for a lovelier event to celebrate its 10th anniversary: 10 Michelin-starred Chefs will be cooking for 220 people on 10 platforms simultaneously raised by 10 Dufour cranes into the Brussels sky like candles on a gigantic birthday cake. And, of course, with the Atomium in the background.
Another dream which, from 1-5th June, will come true for its creators, David Ghysels and Stefan Kerkhofs. Thanks to the support of DS Automobiles, Dinner in the Sky will raise the colours of Belgian gastronomy very, very high during 5 exceptional days and will be simultaneously welcoming to its celestial cooking ranges 10 Michelin-starred chefs like Yves Mattagne from the Sea Grill, Lionel Rigolet from Comme chez Soi, Pascal Devalkeneer from Chalet de la Forêt, David Martin from La Paix, Giovanni Bruno from Senzanome and many many more.
So many dreams have already come true in 10 years, so many countries visited: in fact, Dinner in the Sky has been shining bright in 55 countries, recently including Malaysia, Vietnam and Guatemala – and soon, Peru, Malta and Thailand. So many mythical places seen from above, like The Strip in Las Vegas, Sydney Bay, the Champ de Mars in Paris, Monaco’s marina, the City of the Gods in Teotihuacan, the medina in Marrakech, etc. So many great Chefs met, such as Michel Troisgros, Paco Roncero, Joël Robuchon, Heston Blumenthal, Pierre Gagnaire, etc. Among the most surreal gastronomic concepts, Dinner in the Sky definitely has its place at the top. In 10 years, Dinner in the Sky has gained global fame and has built a solid reputation among the Foodies community throughout the world.
A Belgian concept created in Brussels, Dinner in the Sky wanted to share this success with the town of its birth, in partnership with VisitBrussels and the City of Brussels. The idea is to highlight Michelin-starred Belgian gastronomy in the most surreal possible way. This unique event, a world premiere, will take place from 1st to 5th June near the Atomium. Each day, the 10 Chefs will prepare and serve, in person, a gastronomic 5-course menu for 220 guests, over one lunch and 2 dinners.
