GERMANY – Hagen Invent successful at the 2013 Ex Awards

Hagen Invent (Düsseldorf) received the highest possible accolade for its 2012 Audi A3 Dealer Meeting project at the biggest international award ceremony for live communication of the year. The international panel of experts at the 2013 Ex Awards named the project ‘Ex Winner’ in the Best Event Environment (B-to-B) category.

The distinguished panel of internationally renowned marketing pros once again found it very difficult to make their decision this year: with over 800 submissions in 31 categories, the competition at the 2013 Ex Awards was hotter than ever. This makes the team of experts from Hagen Invent even prouder of their accolade for the Audi A3 Dealer Meeting project, which the Düsseldorf-based agency developed for Aaudi AG in partnership with the Munich-based Schmidhuber architects and the KMS Blackspace agency. With the motto ‘Way ahead’, around 4,000 dealers from around the world and importers from 80 different countries experienced the exciting unveiling of the new Audi A3 in summer 2012. Four locations in Copenhagen and southern Sweden were combined into a decentralised brand space for the three-week event.

When pitted against the competition, the dealer meeting that was designed and implemented on behalf of Audi AG also paid off well for Hagen Invent at the Golden Award of Montreux in Switzerland: the high-calibre panel listed both the Audi A3 Dealer Meeting and the Sevilla Speed Days as finalists in the ‘Corporate Events’ category. The Sevilla Speed Days, for which Audi AG invited around 1,000 R8 dealers and selected customers from around the world to southern Spain in November 2012, were all about the latest-generation Audi R8, the sporty spearhead of Audi’s model portfolio. Hagen Invent was commissioned with staging the Sevilla Speed Days event together with the Munich-based Oettle Ferber Associates architects and design agency tisch13.
