EuBEA: Announcing the Shortlist for 2012 European Best Event Awards
146 events were submitted for the 7th edition of European Best Events Awards, and they were from 19 European countries, including: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and UK.
In the last days our judges (Check the Jurors) completed the first voting session, narrowing down the large number of entries to the shortlist. We are extremely delighted to announce the 62 shortlisted events (the events that crossed the first step toward the European Best Event Awards) here.
Most of the projects belong to the ‘Internal Event / Convention‘ category (11 events), which is followed by the ‘Product / Service Launch Event‘ one, with 8 candidates, and the ‘BtoB‘ and ‘Roadshow‘ categories, both represented by 7 projects. On the other side, if we consider the countries involved, we can see that Germany is by far at the first place, with 33 projects, followed by Italy, with 6 events, and France, at third place, with 5 candidates (see attachment).
We really appreciate the efforts of everyone who took part, both as candidates and judges, and entered such great material. From a first look at the results and at the votes, we can notice how high the quality level of the projects is, and this indicates how good agencies have been at expressing themselves despite the crisis and budgets reductions. The next task for the jurors is now the final session, the one full-day meeting that will define the winners of the 7th edition of European Best Event Awards. The jury, chaired by Carlo Hermes, President at Hermes & Partner, will gather on 1st October at Atahotel Expo Fiera in Milan to evaluate the shortlist and choose the winners of this edition.
Winners will be announced during the Bea-Expo Festival, the two-day kermesse dedicated to the world of events, that will host the EuBEA Awards Ceremony on 15 November in Milan, at Spazio Eventiquattro, Via Monte Rosa, 91 – 20149 Milano.
