ITALY – Sinergie to organize the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour

An eagerly awaited event for football fans: after the incredible success of earlier editions, the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour is back, once again sponsored by Unicredit. A well- loved event by targets of all ages and nationalities that was visited, in the 2009-2011 editions, by 321.500 fans. In the last edition, the trophy toured 5 major cities in Eastern Europe, making a stop also in the magnificent Red Square in Moscow, and contacting over 93,000 enthusiastic visitors. Legendary winners of the Trophy such as Cafu, Davor Šuker, Dwight Yorke e Ruud Gullit were the ambassadors of the tour 2011, joined by the famous Unicredit for UEFA Champions League ambassador, Luìs Figo.

For this 2012 edition, Unicredit chooses Italy as the destination and entrusts its organization to the Milanese agency, Sinergie. It will be a complex tour, with great media coverage, that will develop in 6 weeks of travelling in 10 major Italian cities starting from mid-September, at the very start of the UCL Season. Unicredit, in fact, elected Sinergie for its strong experience in the field of large events and its capillary knowledge of the national territory. In each of the squares touched by the tour, the arrival of the trophy will animate an incredible happening. Inside the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour Village, a schedule of amatorial tournaments, music, interactive games and exhibitions of famous football memorabilia will be present and guests will have the possibility to meet celebrities and see the famous trophy up close and have their photo taken with it.

With the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour, UniCredit and UEFA aim at bringing the emotion of the famous competition directly to the hearts of the cities and to its most dedicated fans, giving everyone the opportunity to discover its history and experience the adrenaline first-hand. To reach this goal, Sinergie and Unicredit will give shape to a ground-breaking project using very unconventional communication tools for original and engrossing events. It will be an edition full of great ideas, celebrities and thrills.
