FRANCE – Second biggest fashion show in the world at the Galeries Lafayette
This initiative from the Galeries Lafayette illustrates the group’s signature “Fashion is you” (La mode, c’est vous). It took place on Thursday 15th in the evening in front of the store on boulevard Haussmann in Paris and on Saturday 17th September in the other cities.
Divided by style (New York Preppy, London Hipster, Paris Bohème, Milano Glam), with hair-does and make-up made by professionals (Franck Provost, Studio Make Up) and trained (lessons to learn how to walk on high heels with Talons Academy), the models walked down the red carpet in front of a large audience of specialists, media partners (Glamour magazine and Au Féminin.org website) and the general public.
The beautiful performance, developed in collaboration with the agency Codecom, enabled the Galeries to enter twice in the Guinness Book of World Records: for the record of the greatest number of models walking the runway and for the greatest line of brides in a fashion show.
